What really matters in Monaco
A clearance in the Principality does not go wrong on volume: it goes wrong on access, timing and getting the waste out. This is what we take care of.
The parking permit
Occupation of the public highway is requested from the Police Municipale de Monaco at least 5 working days in advance, and it is only issued once the fee has been paid. We put the application together, and the fee is priced into your quote.
The access slot
The municipal by-law governing deliveries closes loading for long periods in the middle of the day. So we work early in the morning: less traffic, less disturbance for the neighbours, and a job that fits into the day.
The size of the vehicle
A large lorry is unmanageable in the Principality, and it is not admitted to the waste centres (déchèteries) of the French Riviera, which are capped at 3.5 t gross vehicle weight and 2.25 m wide. We come with a van that gets through, even if it means one more trip.
A furniture lift when access requires it
Narrow staircase, lift too small, furniture that will not go through: it takes a site plan and a longer lead time than simple parking. We spot it on your photos, not on the day.
Disposal, which happens on the French side
The bulky-waste collection run by the Société Monégasque d'Assainissement is free but reserved for private residents and limited to 1 m³ per appointment: it does not cover a whole home. So everything goes to a déchèterie (waste disposal centre) on the French side, where professionals are charged by the tonne, and you receive the drop-off receipt. This cost is built into the quote, never added afterwards.
A standard French invoice
For VAT purposes, Monaco is part of the French tax territory. You receive a standard French invoice, payable by bank transfer. No customs formalities, nothing unusual for your accountant, your managing agent or your notaire.

Do you take care of the parking permit?
Yes. The application to occupy the public highway is filed with the Police Municipale de Monaco at least 5 working days before the job, and the permit is only issued once the fee has been paid. We put the application together and the permit stays displayed behind the windscreen for the whole job. The fee is priced into your quote.
How much notice do you need before the job?
Allow a week to be safe: at least 5 working days for parking, more if the occupation goes beyond marked bays, for example with a furniture lift. If it is urgent, tell us: depending on the street and the time, a slot can sometimes be arranged faster.
Why not use the free SMA collection?
Because it is not designed for that. The bulky-waste collection of the Société Monégasque d'Assainissement is reserved for private residents and limited to 1 m³ per appointment, to be put out before 9am. For a cellar, a whole flat or business premises, you need a crew, a van and a professional drop-off at a waste centre.
So where does the waste go?
To a déchèterie (waste disposal centre) on the French side. The waste centres of the French Riviera accept professional drop-offs, charged by the tonne, with a vehicle limited to 3.5 t gross weight and 2.25 m wide. That is also why we come with a van and not a lorry. The drop-off cost is already included in your quote, and you receive the drop-off receipt.
Do you charge Monaco VAT?
No. For VAT purposes Monaco is part of the French tax territory: you receive a standard French invoice, exactly as for a job in Nice. No customs formalities, no reverse charge.
The building is old, has no lift, and it is on the top floor.
That is everyday life around Monaco. Send us a photo of the stairwell and the landing before we price: we plan either extra carrying or a furniture lift with the paperwork that goes with it. What costs money is discovering it on the day.
Can you work very early in the morning?
Yes, and it is what we recommend. Deliveries are allowed from 8am, and loading is banned in much of the town in the middle of the day. Starting early avoids the traffic, blocked streets and disturbance for the neighbours.
