On the job in Ascros
We reach Ascros (06260) from our base in Antibes: 40 km, 1h05–1h35 on the road. Ascros is a small commune of 166 residents. Plenty of firms will not come this far, or add a hefty surcharge when they do. We do three kinds of job there: clearing a home, a cellar or a garage; moving a piece of furniture or a heavy item; and small removals up to a one-bedroom flat.
Mountain villages are not reached like coastal towns. The roads are narrow and twisting, a large removal lorry simply does not get round some bends, and winter changes the picture entirely. A word on Ascros in particular. It is a high village above the Estéron, on a mountain road. We come up with a van sized for these roads rather than a lorry that would be stuck at the bottom. That is also why we take on villages many carriers will not travel to.
We cover the whole of Ascros, including the village, Les Chats, Les Crottes and Rourebel, and every outlying address in between.
The process is simple, in Ascros as anywhere else. Tell us what needs moving or clearing and how we get to it; a free quote follows within 2 hours, and that figure is final. Travel and public liability insurance are part of the price, with nothing added on the day. We answer in English, 7 days a week, 8am to 8pm, and fix the date with you.

Mme Ramfos

Frequently asked questions
AzurMove in Ascros: your questions
How quickly can your movers reach Ascros?
The date is agreed with you around the team's schedule. Our Antibes depot is 40 km away (1h05–1h35 by road), and travel is already included in the price quoted.
Is there an English-speaking mover for Ascros?
Yes. You can call us, message us on WhatsApp or email us in English, from the first question to the day of the job.
What does a house clearance in Ascros cost?
There is no single rate: the price depends on the volume to remove, the access (floor, lift, carrying distance) and what goes to the waste disposal site. You receive a free quote within 2 hours, and the amount quoted is fixed.
Which parts of Ascros do you cover?
All of it: the village, Les Chats, Les Crottes and Rourebel, and everywhere in between. If you do not see your address, just call: the whole of Ascros is covered.
My address in Ascros is hard to reach. Is that a problem?
We go up into the hinterland regularly and choose the vehicle to suit the road, not the other way round. If the last stretch is on foot or through a passage that is too narrow, we see it at the quote stage and the carrying is included in the price.
Where do the items you remove end up?
Everything we take away goes to the waste disposal site (the déchèterie), and you receive the disposal receipt. Anything you want to keep is set aside before we start. For a municipal déchèterie, your resident's access card may be required: we tell you so in the quote.
Can you come to Ascros on a Saturday or Sunday?
Yes, we are reachable and available 7 days a week from 8am to 8pm, Saturdays and Sundays included, with no weekend surcharge.
Do I need a parking permit for the van in Ascros?
Usually yes, as soon as the van has to stand on the public road. You apply to the town hall (mairie) of Ascros: 4 Montée-de-la-Bourgade, 06260 Ascros, tel. 04 93 05 84 21. When we send the quote, we tell you whether it is needed and exactly what to ask for.
